Bobby Lenarduzzi honors CDA winners

Posted by Admin | 04.26.12

Congratulations to all the winners of the 17th Annual Cultural Diversity Awards, presented by DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society. Keynote speaker,  Bobby Lenarduzzi, current President of the Vancouver Whitecaps, praised the nominees of the 2012 CDA awards for creating a culturally-inclusive work environment where all employees can succeed. He knows first-hand how challenging it can be as the Whitecaps have several players on its team who do not speak English. Soccer, or as it’s known in many parts of the world — football — is an extremely popular sport, accessible to players and spectators regardless of economic, cultural, racial, or religious backgrounds. The Whitecaps management, coach, and teammates have taken the initiative to ensure all players feel welcome, play their best and work successfully as a unified team. By doing so, Lenarduzzi hopes the Whitecaps can inspire other organizations to create a welcoming employee experience that will lend itself to an increased customer base that is inclusive of the whole population.
